Die Fotografin und Drag-Künstlerin Verena Gremmer ist vor zwei Jahren ganz in das go drag! Festival in Berlin eingetaucht und hat bewegende Momente der Live-Shows festgehalten. In ihrer Ausstellung zeigt sie, dass die Kunstform Drag so viel diverser ist, als das Bild, das wir durch Mainstream-Fernsehformate und -Shows im Kopf haben.
Vom 1. bis 5. Mai 2024 findet das go drag! munich Festival erstmals statt und aus diesem Anlass präsentieren das LeZ 2 lesbisch-queeres Zentrum – und der Gasteig Verenas Bilder frei zugänglich einer breiten Öffentlichkeit als Plädoyer für Vielfalt und Kreativität. Die Ausstellung im Gasteig HP 8 (Halle E) ist vom 23.04. bis zum 05.05.2024 zwischen 07:00 und 23:00 geöffnet.

Photo exhibition "go drag!"

Two years ago, photographer and drag artist Verena Gremmer immersed herself in the go drag! festival in Berlin two years ago and captured moving moments from the live shows. In her exhibition, she shows that the art form of drag is so much more diverse than the image we have in our heads from mainstream television formats and shows.
From May 1 to 5, 2024, the go drag! munich festival will take place for the first time and on this occasion, LeZ 2 lesbian-queer center - and the Gasteig will present Verena's pictures freely accessible to a broad public as a plea for diversity and creativity. The exhibition in Gasteig HP 8 (Halle E) is open from 23.04. to 05.05.2024 between 07:00 and 23:00.
